Case Study: Donor Census toward Targeted Appeals

Campbell Rinker recently completed a census of 3,000 completed questionnaires among residents in the service area of a major Texas hospital.  A census is unlike a survey in that there is no promise of confidentiality and the respondent-level results are eventually shared with the study’s sponsor.   This format permits the sponsor organization to pre-qualify responding donors for potential legacy giving.  In the case noted above, respondents included media moguls, CEOs, celebrities, former patients and their families.  Based on Campbell Rinker’s experience with other census efforts, we expect this effort to obtain data leading to millions of dollars in additional giving. Campbell Rinker is capable of scaling its census efforts to deliver as few as 100 respondents to as many as 35,000.  Methodology: Phone Census
