Case Study: Science Museum Intercept Study

A science and history museum came to Campbell Rinker for a visitor intercept study to help the institution understand its typical visitor demographics and media habits.  Our firm developed several methods of fielding the survey and worked with the institution over time to generate response month by month from visitors.  Using the results of this study, the institution was able to finetune its media plans for targeting prospective visitors prior to opening a major new exhibition.  The result was far more visitors than the museum’s capacity could sustain, overflow crowds and demand far beyond what the museum had experienced in previous openings.  Campbell Rinker has replicated this approach in multiple studies for different institutions in several states.  Methodology: On-site Intercept Survey
